We knew we wanted Cancer Bats from the start, so we were pleased they ended up being the first City Sonic film that we shot. It was in dead of freezing winter so we weren’t too surprised that the original script idea – having Liam go postering on Queen Street – was nixed in favour of shooting inside the Adrift Clubhouse, a secret space we didn’t even know existed until they took Bruce McDonald there…
