TIFF World Premieres start today at Yonge and Dundas square
September 10, 2009Did you get a good night’s sleep? It might be your last for the next week or so as film festival fever descends upon Toronto. We are new-baby proud to crow about the City Sonic shorts getting their world premieres at TIFF‘s Yonge and Dundas square free outdoor screening programme. In fact, it’s City Sonic that will kick-off the entire she-bang today! Come and see director Anita Doron’s film about Tony Dekker of Great Lake Swimmers today at 12 noon (playing right before the Leonard Cohen doc I’m Your Man). If you can’t make it downtown, the film will premiere on mobile immediately after its TIFF screening: check out m.citysonic.tv on your smartphone to make that happen.
Each day a new film will roll out, at Yonge and Dundas and on mobile. See the full schedule here!

That’s decent, but I’d rather catch Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars tomorrow night (especially since it’s not so freakin’ early!). This (http://tinyurl.com/ob49of) article says “Get ready see a spandex clad David Bowie projected 20 feet high in the middle of downtown Toronto. If that’s not a Kodak moment, I don’t know what is.” I’m inclined to agree
Chris, you’re on! (Although I have to tell you having recently watched a spandex clad David Bowie projected 20 feet high at a screening of Labyrinth that you might want to.brace thyself for impact!
