We’ve teased you with rumours of an iPhone app. Well, today’s the day. We are delighted to announce than you can now experience City Sonic on your mobile. And we don’t just mean watching the docs on the go (although we’re chuffed when you do.) We’re talking about all the new, exclusive, bonus features you can now unlock using the free City Sonic iPhone app.
For each of our City Sonic films, there are hidden extras: rare archival audio and photos, previously unreleased songs, live performances, original featurettes and more. You can now access them a few different ways. By visiting the locations of the films — using our handy map interface, GPS and your own feet, find our codes on historic hotspots around the city that will unlock bonus content. Or, answer some quiz questions, and be rewarded. You might even get lucky — with the help of your GPS — and trip hidden content by walking past certain City Sonic locations.
City Sonic’s mission has always been about more than just making music movies. It’s also about connecting music fans with the locations where music history happens.
