Get Outside: Cancer Bats at the ACC

March 26, 2010

Well the Cancer Bats certainly have come a along way from their DIY shows down in the Adrift Clubhouse.  This Sunday they hit the big time opening up for Billy Talent at the Air Canada Center.

The lineup also includes fellow Canadian heavy hitters Alexisonfire, and America’s favourite punk-rock cowboys Against Me!  All together this should make for one of the loudest shows the ACC will see this year.

Tickets for the show are still available through ticketmaster.ca, but for the best view show up early and pay extra for something on the floor.  See you in the pit!

Get Outside and Buy Tickets Now!

March 25, 2010

Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage, the latest materpiece from Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn, will have its Canadian premiere at the Hot Docs Film Festival on April 29th at the Winter Garden Theatre. The film questions why one of the greatest selling bands of all time never got the respect from critics they deserved.

McFayden and Dunn are the metalhead duo behind some of Canada’s most successful music documentaries. They’re company Banger Films burst onto the scene in 2005 with the smash success Metal: A Headbangers Journey, and they’ve since been the kings when it comes to hard rock documentaries.

Hot Docs is still over a month away, but tickets for screenings are already online, and for a show this big you can’t afford to leave it to the last minute. Until then, get your Rush fix from City Sonic, and we’ll see you at the festival.
