Hot Docs

There are tons of great music docs on right now at Hot Docs. It’s one of the best film festivals around, and this year they’re showing some love to music.

From The Socalled Movie (“If Woody Allen and Lil Wayne had a love child it would be Josh Dolgin…”), to Listen To This, an excellent film about a music program at an inner-city Toronto elementary school.

Check out this list of hot music docs (on the Hot Docs website).

Get Outside: Jay Malinowski at The Rivoli

March 5, 2010

There hasn’t been a better weekend in months to get outside. With the amount of sunshine and warm weather we’re expecting in Toronto many will already have summer on their minds. And when you think summer, you think patios, and when you think patios you think Rivoli.

This Saturday Bedouine Soundclash frontman Jay Malinowski will be stopping by the Rivoli with singer-songwriter Kinnie Starr. The two are making their way across the country throughout March with another Canadian artist, Edmonton native Michael Rault.

So even if it’s not quite patio weather this weekend you can still get in the mood by soaking up some sun, drinking a few beers and listening to some feel good tunes. Doors open at 8pm.
